A Revitalized Gem on the Lakefront:
This 1920’s house, a local landmark on a spectacular bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, was in need of an update for modern living. The challenge was to make improvements to the house without changing its historic character. The complete renovation involved rearrangement and opening up of interior space to better serve the contemporary needs of the homeowners. Windows at the rear of the home were enlarged where needed to take in light and views but were kept in concert with the existing facade. An old garage space became a light and airy sunroom with windows overlooking the lake while the newly-built garage accurately matched the materials and character of the main house
